I agree that thick plywood is needed. But once this is achieved, a better method to prepare the plywood is to coat it with a thick coating of marine quality two-part epoxy rolled and brushed on. When it is still wet, sprinkle dry fine sand (not fine and coarse mixed, but fine only) generously all over the epoxy. Cover it thoroughly deeper than needed. Then let cure completely dry. When dry, carefully sweep the excess sand off and then vacuum the surface to get the fine residue off using a brush attachment on the vacuum. You are now ready for mortar. The surface is waterproof, and like sandstone ready for perfect mortar adhesion.

There’s still a lot of know-how here that’s missing. The windows and doors fit perfectly which means knowing the measurements in order to frame the walls correctly. He makes it look easy given his experience and expertise.

This is not a day job. Take your time and do it right. Have patience. Here's how I did it and it was way more simple. 1. Leaf blower to blow off debris and sweep 2. Punch for loose nails 3. Use hose to rinse off light dirt dust 4. Use a hose with just water and murphy's oil soap/nylon brush to scrub and dry 5. Use 30 second outdoor cleaner with pressure washer let dry 6. Sand/prep where applicable 7. Used Behr Deckover enamel based paint with angle brush to coat in between planks. 8. 2 coats of same paint using a roller with a pole. Came out incredible. Deck looked new. It probably hadn't been treated/painted in at least 4 years.

wont tapping the ceramic tile with a whole punch, even if not too hard, be a risk of cracking the tile ??

For your poly or paint cans, drill 3 or 4 tiny holes where the lid goes down into so your finish will drain back down into the can.

Mist of what is see on RUclips is painting over your wood cabinets. Nothing wrong with that, but it’s not what I was looking for. I want to keep the look of varnish wood but a little deeper color. how much force in pounds does a fall generate? If someone tries to grab the bar expecting it to hold them? Falls are a dynamic loading force whereas holding the weight is a static application.
